I just wanted to say I really REALLY like this theme! Well done. The “art work” in the header seems to have the WordPress logo cleverly integrated Is that your own artwork too??? Lovely. Thank you so much for sharing this with us lot!

Hello Nischal,

I am quite fond of this theme, and want to switch to it from my current theme on the site I’ve listed. But as at least one other commenter has mentioned, I’d like to have categories and tags for my posts. Can you point me toward the code where I might add this in…and if you know exactly what code needs to be added, I’d take that too, but really I just want to know where, in the theme’s files it should be inserted. Thanks in advance, and thanks for such a lovely looking theme!

Great design work here. I really like the Modern-Vintage and am using it now with quite a few compliments, so thanks.

My question, which I have looked but can’t find an answer for, is how do we create a drop down button or I guess they are called “child” in the navigation bar? The buttons and everything works quite well, but wanted to add sub tabs basically.

Again, thanks for the great site.

I don’t see any categories or tags on Modern Vintage. Is this on purpose? I’ve never seen a theme without them.

Hi Doug, in the images folder replace “heading-img.jpg” with your image but remember to give it the same filename i.e “heading-img.jpg” and also make sure the dimensions (width and height) of both the images are nearly same.

Yes, I did that. It looks fine in the visual editor. It is on the actual page when I view it in the browser where doesn’t look right. All the text ends up below the picture rather than beside it. I checked in both IE and Firefox. When I change themes back to the WordPress default theme, it displays the text correctly next to the picture.

Hi Clay, when you try to align your images to left, use the visual editor and only align the images to left. Do not align the text to right. So basically, Insert the image –> align to left and then write the text besides it and then press enter to go on to the new line. Again follow the same process for the next image and text.
